We're enjoying the good weather in the UK at the minute, and to celebrate, we've dropped the price on all our fairtrade polos! They're all now just £17.50, so head over to the men's or women's pages and grab a bargain. The lovely soft cotton is great for the summer!

Cause + Affect to launch UK’s first branded, certified fair-trade, organic Polo on World Fair Trade Day!

Cause + Affect today announced the launch of their new range of ethical Polos to coincide with World Fair Trade Day on May 9th 2009. A UK first, both Men’s and Women’s Polos are made from certified fair-trade in-conversion organic cotton and embroidered with the Cause + Affect butterfly logo. Bang on time and looking great our hoodies have just arrived. Difficult to decide which colour we prefer as they all look great but Charlotte hasn't stopped wearing her Navy one since it arrived and Vern has insisted on having one of each to make up his mind!

Cause + Affect team partake in Kick4Life HIV awareness tour in Lesotho

Three members of the Cause + Affect team returned yesterday from a two week volunteering trip in Lesotho with HIV charity Kick4Life. The tour which combined six football matches with AIDS and HIV awareness and educational activities at several schools was a lifechanging event for all of us. Despite the immense poverty and difficulties the majority of this small country has to deal with we were struck by an overiding sense of love, hope and optimism from all of those we met. We are now more determined than ever to continue our journey with Cause + Affect, making great stylish clothing and also hoping to make a positive difference to the world we live in.

Cause + Affect announces the launch of a range of Hoodies to celebrate Fair Trade Fortnight

Cause + Affect today announced the launch of a new range of certified fair-trade, in-conversion organic cotton hoodies. Available to pre-order at the introductory price of £30 both Men's and Women's hoodies are available in 3 different colours and are due in stock on April 1st at a normal retail price of £35 for the Women's and £40 for the Men's hoody.

Cause + Affect have now agreed a deal to list some of their products on the online Get Ethical store. Run by Ethical Junction, this site only sells vetted ethical products, from books to cleaning products and obviously clothing. Click on the link to see what they have to offer. In the last few days we have also signed up with another ethical directory, One Green Earth.

Our thanks to The Guardian - well sort of!

Firstly, our thanks to the Guardian for including us in their Ethical Fashion Directory and we've already had lots of visitors from their site. However, they were probably initially slightly confused as the Guardian failed to get our name exactly right! We thought our name would spark some debate but we at least thought the journalists would get it right. Anyway, we've written to them to explain that it is Affect with an 'A' so hopefully it'll be updated shortly!

Cause + Affect sign up with 3 Ethical Directories!

Over the last 4 weeks, Cause + Affect have applied and been accepted to be listed on three of the leading ethical directories, Ethical Junction, The Green Provider and A Lot of Organics. All of these directories only allow companies that comply with various ethical requirements to be listed on their sites. therefore we're extremely pleased to have been accepted. They also contain links to a huge variety of other ethical, organic and environemntally friendly products so have a click on the links and see what other goodies you can find

We're still here!

Apologies to one and all for the lack of activity on these pages over the last few months, between the three of us there's been an unfortunate amount of changes in personal circumstances that have prevented us from concentrating as much as we'd like on this site. Fortunately that all seems to be behind us and we're looking forward with renewed vigour to turning this company into one of the most recognisable ethical fashion brands. Over the next few months we're hoping to make subtle improvements to the site including expanding our product range to include further t-shirt designs and the launch of a range of hoodies and polos. Thanks you to everyone who has bought from us so far, you really are helping to make a difference to the lives of some of the poorest people in the world and keep spreading the word!

Blood, Sweat + T-shirts - No Thank You!

For those of you that missed this fantastic BBC documentary it is being re-shown on BBC3, click here for details. Those of you that saw it will now realise the apalling conditions many textile factory workers face in manufacturing clothing for our high street. This documentary has only increased our determination to develop our brand to ensure our customers can wear stylish clothing safe in the knowledge that it has been ethically made.

So, after many months of researching and developing our business, we've finally launched Cause + Affect! It's been a long, painstaking, hectic but mostly fun process and we know this is only the start of our journey, not the end. We hope you like the site, the clothing and everything we stand for. We've got big plans for our brand and we'll keep you informed via these news pages every step of the way.
